ABOUT

After graduating from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) in 2001 and a Master of Osteopathy in 2003, Fiona Peat has been practising on Sydney’s Northern Beaches ever since.

Fiona’s professional journey reflects both passion and breadth. Equally at home in the clinic and the mountains, she has a long-standing involvement with Disabled Wintersport Australia and the Australian Paralympic Ski Team, serving as Medical Officer and Team Osteopath during the 2006 Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy. She continues to contribute to Snow Australia as a National Classifier, supporting athletes with disabilities aiming for international competition.

With over two decades of clinical experience, Fiona works with people from all walks of life and presentations. She has completed further study in pelvic pain and dysfunction, paediatrics, and has developed a keen professional interest in women’s midlife health, particularly the complex transitions of perimenopause and menopause. She is passionate about helping women navigate these stages with a holistic approach that values understanding, evidence based education, and tailored treatment.

Fiona’s practice combines a variety of hands-on techniques, including soft tissue mobilisation, craniosacral therapy, balanced ligamentous technique, muscle energy technique, joint manipulation, low-level laser therapy, dry needling and Bowen Therapy. No two patients are the same—each treatment is adapted to the individual’s needs, goals, and stage of life.

Outside the clinic, Fiona is 'Mum' to two energetic teenage boys who keep her moving on the ski slopes, mountain bike trails, and beaches. Her personal experience of juggling family life, work, and wellbeing gives her an authentic understanding of the demands many of her patients face.

Fiona is a thoughtful listener, pragmatic practitioner, and part of an excellent referral network to ensure every patient receives the best comprehensive care. She looks forward to supporting you on your journey toward better movement, comfort, and overall health.
